Windows 10 now has a rootkit that can persist across “refresh” and “reinstall” options present within the operating system. The rootkit is named Zacinlo. The rootkit has been around for 6 years, but now 90% of the infections are persistent Windows 10 infections.

SPSS is a really cool, expensive piece of software. RDKMATH is the statistics library that I have been building in Python to serve my data science, and my daughter’s data science purposes for future years. I am presently using scipy to identify the t-critical value given degrees of freedom. With a large enough Python dictionary this would not being required, but since some the sample sizes for the confidence interval testing range from a few data points to many thousands, scipy is better for the time being than building that dictionary. I haven’t mastered the programming enough to build the cumulative distribution calculations myself. The z-score component uses the error function built into Python 2.7.
Today, I reached the important milestone of automated hypothesis testing. SPSS and R use a table with the numerical values for commercial data scientists. I am building mine to use a conversational aspect. The relevant factors such as standard error, mean squared error, and others are available, but the output sounds friendlier than the charts. This particular module is designed to automate thousands and thousands of hypothesis tests on different time series with offsets. An artificial neural network might better get at the information I seek, but having the relationship status of the relevant variables ascertained may prove valuable as an end unto itself.
